Delivery Policy
We take pride in making and sending your handmade wooden homeware as quickly and safely as possible. Every order is prepared with care in our Derbyshire workshop, then sent using a trusted courier to reach you in perfect condition.
This policy explains how our delivery process works and what to expect once you place an order with Our Home To Yours.
Dispatch Times
We try to keep a good stock of our most popular items, but as everything is handmade, some pieces may take a little longer to prepare.
Most orders are dispatched within a few days of being placed.
You’ll receive an email confirmation once your parcel has been sent.
All orders are shipped with DPD’s 24-hour service, so delivery usually takes 1–2 working days after dispatch.
If your order includes a custom or made-to-order piece, we’ll let you know the expected lead time before it’s shipped.
Delivery Notifications
DPD will keep you updated every step of the way.
You’ll receive an email and/or text message (if you provided a mobile number) confirming your delivery date and estimated time slot.
You can track your parcel directly using the DPD app or website.
DPD will also give you the option to reschedule or leave delivery instructions if needed.
Please make sure your email address and phone number are correct at checkout, as these details are used for delivery updates.
Receiving Your Order
It’s your responsibility to ensure someone is available to receive the parcel on the scheduled delivery day. If delivery is missed or refused, DPD may return the item to us and you may be charged for redelivery.
We recommend checking your parcel on arrival. If anything looks damaged, please photograph the packaging and item before opening and contact us at info@ourhometoyours.co.uk within 3 days.
Delivery Costs
Delivery costs are shown at checkout and depend on the size and weight of your order. We always aim to keep postage costs fair and transparent.
For larger or multiple items, delivery may take slightly longer or be split into more than one parcel.
Delivery Areas
We currently deliver to UK mainland addresses only.
If you live in Northern Ireland, the Highlands, or the Channel Islands, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm delivery options and costs.
Delays and Courier Issues
Once a parcel has been dispatched, it’s in the hands of the courier. While delays are rare, weather or courier issues can occasionally affect delivery times.
If this happens, we’ll do our best to help you track your parcel and get it delivered as quickly as possible.
